A few days ago I decided to report to Microsoft that my pen was occasionally playing up. This was my 3rd experience with warranty claims through MS (two SP3's replaced in the past) and after a few minutes I received an email stating that Microsoft are sending me a new pen. Today I received it in the mail and since there was no return label, I assume they do not want the old one back. So far it's working great although it's too early to say whether the problem is gone.
All I want to say is thank you Microsoft for the great support over the past year. With hindsight, phantom touches on the screen were a pretty obvious claim. A cracked screen definitely wasn't and yet I received a replacement. Now the pen. Three in a row. I obviously wish the devices worked flawlessly but with such great support I wouldn't think twice about purchasing MS hardware in the future.
