windows 8.1 freezes randomly since update

ok so I have a little trouble of 8.1 freezing randomly on my 2 surface RT AND my wife's laptop! this NEVER happened before in 8.0 ...ever! lol wondering what I should do? should I wait and tough it out till an update comes out? it happens very infrequently but it still annoying none the less.

Have you tried refresh or clean install?

ah! that would be a PITA to do...I'll just wait since it happens so infrequently, but if it gets worse then I'll have no choice.
