So through all of this I have a couple of questions:
1. With the updates is the SB a good purchase? Or should I wait for SB2?
2. Can I use the SB to run Office and Premiere Pro and Photoshop now?
3. Is the SB the problem or is it Win10 running on the SB?

I think it depends on your tolerance for issues.

If you can live with some of the issues that have been repeatedly posted about on this forum, and you do not intend to use the dock and/or multiple monitors, and you don't mind surfing the net for bug fixes and trying them, then the Surface Book might be acceptable to you.

If, on the other hand, you demand a computer that is consistently reliable, which will work properly every time you turn it on, and which will be largely without quirks and bugs, then the Surface Book is not for you.
