Movie maker and paint are nowhere to be seen on the surface, is there any equivalents out there or does anyone know if they will be available in the future?

I am sure there will be no shortage of paint apps in the app store (if they aren't already there). Movie Maker as you know it won't come to Windows RT but there will likely be plenty of third party video editing apps in the future.

Paint is available in the Desktop Mode, just swipe the charms menu, go to the search charm and type paint...launch. Fresh Paint is available as a Modern App and is free....

Movie Maker was a download in Windows 7 and not included in the base OS, I've not seen a replacement in the Store for it...
