No groups? There must be a default In Win10 search type workgroup which should bring up the option to select the properties where you should see the name of your computer and the workgroup. Do the same for both and change as needed. At that point you may not be able to access either until you create a share but you should be able to see each device if they are on the same physical network.

Make sure the Wireless network isn't set to Public (all discovery is turned off in a public network). The easiest way to get them to see each other is to create a "Home" Network for the Network Settings ....

It uses USB to transfer files when moving to a new PC. It works with Microsoft's Easy Transfer in Start -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Windows Easy Transfer

Windows Easy Transfer also works over a network or with an Ethernet cross-over cable, but Ethernet would require a USB - Ethernet adapter on Surface 3.

That would be good IMO.
Id like the Traditional locally run Solitaire back too... just make it touch friendly.
If I need to kill time it's probably because I don't have Internet access. I don't need online Solitaire, it will NEVER get played. It wont get played with ads in it either, and I will NOT pay a monthly fee to remove ads, I just wont access it at all and or will block them via negative DNS entries or Firewall rules.
