Outlook 2013 (and previous versions) opens directly to and email dialog. But Outlook can be configured to start directly into Calendar or Contacts dialogs.
Here is how to add Calendar and Contacts shortcuts to the Windows 10 Start Menu.
1. Create two Desktop shortcuts:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15\outlook.exe" /select outlook:calendar
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15\outlook.exe" /select outlook:contacts
2. Change icons as desired.
3. Pin to Start.
Note: You can drag the icons over to the tiles side of the Start Menu, but you will lose your custom icon if you subsequently resize it. If you try to make the tile smaller, an Outlook icon will be shown.
