Anyways to stop a specific update?

I would like to stop a specific update from installing, but am having trouble doing that. I can stop all updates from being downloaded by making a registry alteration, but this keeps me from downloading any updates. Any ideas?

which specific update to what specific Surface do you want to stop? and for what reason?

Yes, open windows updates through the control panel, and then view available updates.

Right click the one you want to stop, and press the option to Hide it. This will stop Windows from trying to install it.
