chromecast and surface 2

Has anyone tried mirroring their Surface 2 using Google Chromecast and the AV cast app in the Windows store, and if so, how was the experience.

I have the AV Remote app (paid app from same people, $2.99). I use it to stream movies from my NAS to my Chromecast and it works well for that.

Your profile says you have a SP3 and the OP has a Surface 2. Is your profile correct?

Sorry, I missed that the OP said he/she had a SP2. I have an SP3. However, I would expect the app to work the same on ether.
