In general I use a vacuum cleaner to clean my keyboards. I never remove any keys. What I think is harder to clean is grease on the keys. You need some sort of detergent I guess.
My girlfriend always has smudges on the screen of her Asus T200 not because she touches the screen with dirty hands, but because the keys are somewhat dirty
