Default "thread watch" to receive emails

is there any setting to change the default for watching a thread to receive emails instead of not. Thought I checked all the preferences, couldn't find one

Welcome to the forum

When you click on "watch thread" the first option is to send you an E-Mail. There are only 2 options.

I'm aware of the two options, perhaps my question wasn't clear. It defaults to the 2nd option of no email. Would like it to default to the first option of receiving an email

I don't know of a way to change the default. Pick one.

any place to suggest it to the site developers etc. Seems to make sense and is an option in many other similar type forums.

The company that owns this forum has quite a few other forums with the same software backend and they all work the same way. The ones with more dated software like vBulletin® do not.
