does anyone know if this is used for the Microsoft Dock?

I have it installed (for unknown reasons) and would like to uninstall it, but thought it might be the DOCK.

Wouldn't think there's any reason for it with the MS dock. That's for a display over USB.

My experience has been that a displaylink dock requires drivers and such before it will work (and this can be seen in add and remove programs list). The same can not be said for the dock which is plug and play. I'd feel safe in saying you can uninstall it without an issue regarding the MS dock

It automatically installs under Windows 10 anytime you plug in a USB Video Adapter that is based on DisplayLink Chipset....including some tele-presence solutions.
