Driver Power State Failure

I was told to do a reset, saving my files and the issue should be resolved. The Surface as been churning for 7 hours. That seems a little long. Suggestions please!

I'm not sure if I can help, but it would be good if you could offer an explanation as to what you mean by "churning".
