I have gone back to Windows 8.1, seems to work better with the surface 1....I think I still have windows 10, how can I remove it to save up space?

Go to your local drive then go to manage -> clean up -> clean up system files -> check "previous Windows files" then clean up. That should remove about 10 GB or more space.

Or just delete windows.old folder.

I'm close to doing the same thing. The mail app and the loss of function with the people app really kills 10. In a perfect world the computer would replicate the function of the phone with the complete integration of people and content that you've shared with them. I really hate to search for a person's emails in all of the different accounts.
