HDMI to micro-HDMI cable

I purchased the subject cable today and hooked up my RT to my work PC. Is there a way to control the RT from my work PC?

I showed a setup before on how I can remotely operate my Surface RT from Windows 8 Enterprise running on my Acer S3.

But I didn't get how the HMDI got into this...

For me and my RT it works perfectly out of the box. Could you try another HDMI cable?

Try another HDMI port on your tv, check your TV menu sound settings and make sure they are correct, try pulgging in with the tv off then turning it on, try turning putting the Surface to sleep and plugging it in then turning it on. Try it with another TV. There are lots of little things you should try first and it could be just about anything.

My Samsung has a setting that allows one to enable/disable Audio via HDMI. You may want to check your TV.
