Insert Photos into Word or PDF Doc on Surface

I am looking to purchase the Surface tablet however, I am first wondering if there is a way to insert photos directly from the camera roll into a Word or PDF form on the device. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!

I think most anything you can do with Word on your desktop pc, you can accomplish on the RT version of Word.
