Magnetic snap-in power adapter

Is the light on the power adapter supposed to go out when the device is full charged as it did with the Surface Pro 2? My doesn't.

I noticed that too. Even thought it's fully charged the lights stays on. I think it started happening after the first barrage of updates.

On my SPro2 the light would go out after charge completed when unit was turned off. If turned on it didn't go out. My SPro3 light stayed on right out of the box. Doesn't seem to matter if it's fully charged, on or off.
