Mate! Australia surface pro 3 credit card charged

finally, after two months waiting, last night, my credit card was charged by "MSFT *MICROSOFTSTORE xxxx AUS" ....

it's a long journey, too long, I pre-ordered right after the release, I even forgot about it..........phew....

Will come back with tons of details and un-boxing (don't laugh, mate, it's still *fresh* for Aussie.....)

I keep reading the posts here, the updates are quite infamous, I believe it's better for me do one at a shot, and update it manually in windows, hopefully will reduce the possibilities of force reboot....

Correct. You will first have to register your device which requires inputting the serial number and then the warranty is applied to the device. At least that is my understanding of how the process unfolds.
