My screen won't detatch and the red detatch light is always on, even when the lid is shut

So I am trying to detach my screen because it won't turn on and I wanted to try to charge though the screen but I can't detach it,I have tried to detach it through the manual on at hole 6 but I can't do it because I've broken the spacer between 5 and 6 on both sides. Any other ideas?
