My Trackpad Settings app tells me it's not connected now.

Exactly the same problem! I think the recent update broke the app.

I hardly ever use it.

I hardly ever use it.

I use it only to turn off the trackpad when using the keyboard! So, it is a bit cumbersome at the moment but nothing critical.

I just opened the app and mine says the same thing.

But, my tap to click is still disabled on the trackpad. So, it seems the settings I had before have still stuck.
