Arnold - When I purchased my iPadv1 in May 2010 I put a tough plastic cover on it. Not only did it protect the tablet from bumps but it kept the oil from my hands from scaring it. I like the idea of extra protection and am hoping the Surface RT will get the same treatment. Question is will the vendors create a similar functional cover... one that will allow easy use of the keyboard and kickstand. IMO that's what we need.

Yeah, X-men :D I guess I bet too much on VaporMG!

I wish they have this thing called "jelly cover" that is available for mobile phones. My HTC One V has one, and that phone is polycarbonate! :p
 
I wonder if that new nono technology process that waterproofs electronics like mobile phones would help your situation. Can't remember the name, but Google will. It's inexpensive and they advertise a very short turnaround time.

I'm having my RT replaced by Microsoft Singapore :D
