the little blue light on the end of the power cord goes out when the Surface is charged now. It used to stay on all the time.

No, I did.

But even prior to the latest update there were folks who indicated that their light went out as soon as the unit was fully charged.

I had never seen that. I only saw messages from people asking about the light because their never went out.

Neither did mine until the last update when suddenly I noticed it was out. I watched it a time or two to be sure it was going out when it was fully charged and indeed it was.
