Onscreen Keys non responsive sometimes

Anybody see this problem before with onscreen keyboard ,

sometimes a few of the keys become non responsive and I have to hit them a few times or wait for awhile ,15 sec or so, or sometimes reload the keyboard or page I am working on.

I am not a touch typist and for awhile I thought I was just typing badly until I realized this problem was happening and I was missing letters etc.

I don't have that problem but very often I will hit one key and it puts up the letter of a key next to it.
I've made sure that my fingers didn't hit the wrong key but it sure thinks I did.
Very very irritating.
At one time, a looonnnngggg time ago, I could touch type 80 wpm and I still type pretty fast on a regular keyboard.
But I type real slow on the onscreen keyboard because it is so much smaller than my regular keyboard.
I know I can make a mistake now and then but this happens all the time.
I would be happy if I just had to hit the key twice.
But when it puts in the wrong letter I have to backspace and delete the wrong letter and then do it again.

Grrrrrr.

I try to avoid using the onscreen keyboard.
