Question regarding selling Surface Pro and Office 365...

I have Office 365 which I pay $10 for monthly. I am permitted to have this on up to 5 devices at once. Question is, if I sell my SP, can I leave a copy on the sold unit? What would be the potential issues with that? I know I won't use 5 instances on my personal and family devices so I don't mind leaving it on there to help sell the device.

I'm especially interested in making sure the person is not able to sync with my OneNote, etc.

I believe you want to de-activate it on the computer before selling it. This page can help, Install Office on a different computer - support - Office.com

As you see it would still have a copy, but they would need to activate it.

If ***security*** is an issue, you would want to reinstall the OS and wipe the drive. What Microsoft calls a reset on this page, Restore, refresh, or reset Microsoft Surface Pro or Surface Pro 2 | Surface factory settings
