Screen and Lot # questions

Hi-

I've had 2 surfaces (one is my current) which had yellow "flashlighting" areas on the bottom and side. Anyone know if this is like the iDevices adhesive issue, and will go away with use?

Also, my most recent Surface came with slightly different packaging effects and had the on-desktop build information displayed. I thought this was kind of weird since it was my belief that one had to enter this manually to show up?

The lot # on my box is 1240. Anyone know if that is early or later production? Anyone this it matters?

I am on my 2nd Surface (first one had the magnet issue), this one has some slight flashlighting at the bottom of the screen. I have only noticed it during boot, never during normal use. Annoying but I guess I can live with it.
