when i switch in and out of tablet mode or turn the monitor sideways and go to the desktop a shadow box will be left behind. It doesn't cause any problems but it doesn't make sense why it's there. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great
Very helpful that you were able to get a screenshot.
I use Adobe Creative Cloud apps on my Surface Book, and have seen this before. This is a software issue, and not hardware, and is likely to be related to the graphics processing not cleaning up completely after a task such as rotation.
This problem disappeared a few Windows Build versions ago, as I am a Windows Insider. So be patient. Some weakness in Windows 10 that Adobe software revealed is corrected in upcoming updates for you.
