Good deal for some but bit disconcerting considering only bought mine only last October at full price

In Surface terms, October was decades ago! Don't worry, I paid full price for my original Surface Pro which was superseded just 6 months later...

that's good to hear, maybe I might think of buying a pro 2 when the prices drop to a more reasonable level... not interested in the pro 3 as I find those to big and bulky

Bought mine in uk 4 weeks ago, paid ridiculous price, could have got 512 Version in USA for price I paid for 256 in uk, now they kicking me when I'm down, lesson learnt.

Well this has happened on MANY devices, from HP touchpad, to the blackberry playbook, and lots more! That part of the tablet industry...

1. Don't buy in UK (at least not with current £ $ rate)
2. Do more research into when the next model is coming out
