Standard warranty transferable?

Hi, is the standard (not extended) msoft warranty transferable?

I have a local guy wanting to sell his SP3 and he says it is, but I have not yet found that in writing on msoft's site.

All warranties should be transferrable. It belongs to the product, not the owner.

Yes the warranty stays with the machine.
