Surface Pro GUI Performance???

Howdy Everyone,

I own and have been using a Surface Pro since early this year, and have been very satisfied with the overall performance, both in application and responsiveness. However, ever since I updated it to Windows 8.1, the GUI has started to stutter and hitch. In some Modern apps, the screen noticeably slows down, and even on the main page when you unlock it and the tiles slide in, it is now sluggish. Has anyone else noticed this, and is this "normal"? Thanks!

With Microsoft, one step forward and two steps back is the norm. If you have noticed, there are nearly daily updates to 8.1 - these patches will address problems such as the one you described, and over the next 6 months 8.1 will become as stable as 8.0 was.
