The Stanley Parables on SP2

I've heard such great things about this game and have been dying to try it. So I downloaded it and installed.. everything honky dory... I run the game and it opens to a desk with computer and phone. I hear office sounds but nothing happens. I try clicking on things but no response. Any ideas of what's going on? How do I troubleshoot a game that installs and runs but doesn't do anything??

re-installing it. Apparently the game thought I was using a pirated copy. What an interesting game.
