Thick border around focused tile and metro options

After playing with some settings, for some reason stuff on the start menu gets automatic keyboard focus, even if the keyboard is not attached.
So every time I go into the start screen the IE icon gets that focus, and when I open the settings for the start menu the first button gets a similar focus.

I did a simple reset on the tablet which reset all my settings, but I'm still having this problem.

When I hover over tiles with the mouse the tile will get a thick blue border. I can't remember if this is normal, but this white border is certainly not normal.


Any help?

By any chance, are you using Bitdefender anti-virus? I have the same issue and the only change I've made to my machine is installed that software.
