I have seen many older issues with this same problem.
After waking up from sleep or even when only monitors have gone to power saving mode, many times my monitors won't wake up. Only after unplugging the Dock from power, the monitors are back.
This is however pretty new for me, as the problem wasn't there until late last year. So I guess some update has broken the relationship between the dock, the monitors and the SP9.
I'm using two Dell P2219H monitors, attached two the dock with DP>HDMI cables.
When the monitors go into power saving mode, I sometimes hear that same sound on my Surface as when you unplug a device. So then for the Surface the monitors are lost I guess.
Sometimes I have happy days, when monitors do get recognized after wake up, sometimes my monitors are attached in reversed order and sometimes only one monitor wakes up. But most of the times I have to repower the dock,
It's pretty annoying.
Anyone having the same problems and even beter, a solution? Thanks!
