Using an internet stick with a Surface rt with Win 8.1

Has anyone tried using an internet stick like the Rogers Rocket stick with the Surface rt? I plugged mine into the USB - but the Connection Manager would not load. I see nothing that looks helpful at the 'store'.

Have you tried it to see if it works on another device? I don't see anything for the Rocket Stick either but the Stick could be faulty. You need to confirm it wasn't DOA.

My best guess is that it needs some sort of drivers?

On RT you're much better at getting a Cell Modem/WiFi Router Combo (MiFi) as most require some type of Connection Manager Software that isn't compatible with Windows RT's ARM Architecture.

Or instead of using a stick, why not use your phone as a WiFi hotspot?

The OP is a little confusing as the title says RT AND Win 8.1. Am I missing something?

RT was updated to RT/8.1. which causes the confusion...
