W10 final release getting close?

I just got a Windows 10 driver for my Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 video card!!!!

I wonder if the final release is getting close since companies are finally ( apparently ) devoting resources to making Windows 10 drivers.

They usually won't have their programmers devote time to making drivers if there is much chance of things changing enough that their new drivers will no longer work and they have to redo everything they had just done and make new drivers AGAIN.

Vendors might be more motivated to have stuff ready right away so they don't miss a second of the shopping season. I recon we're a month closer than we were 30 days ago.

The Fall college buying spree has begun. Microsoft is trying to place in that race.
Vendors are already selling the running shoes.
