What's the secret to getting email and facebook notifications to work?

They never work. I think for the very first week I owned my SP2 they did but even now on my SP3 they don't work.

Calendar notifications work, third party app notifications for an app called Trello work, but email and Facebook notifications just don't.

I wasn't getting notifications, either, until I learned to change the settings:

• Charms Menu > Settings > Account > (account) > Show email notifications dropdown: Set to "All email"

Interesting you mention that. I had the same experience with Skype. Got notifications the first couple days, but nothing after that.
