why I should have screen protector for my surface?

Screen protector for surface 3 cost $50! Please tell me some reasons I 'd have it.

I know there are plenty of people who do use them, but I never have. The most obvious reason you'd want one is to prevent scratches and scuffs.

lets just say my S2 would have a huge scratch if I DIDN'T have a screen protector... there is a big gash on the screen protector and not my screen and thank gawd I got one put on... and I'm super careful with my tablets you just never know... with that said OP you don't have to buy a $50 dollar one, there's plenty on ebay for 4 bucks that work just as good!
