clipboard(screen) connect to surface dock

It's a drawback that clipboard has no USB port. I want to ask someone who have both the SB and surface dock. Can you connect your dock to the clipboard(screen) with the ports on the dock keeping usable?

Rumor is next spring we'll see updated Pro and SB, as far as a new dock - I doubt it will sport HDMI as these are targeted at Enterprise Customers and Display Port rules this space...

Plus they want you to buy the Display adapter or use the mini HDMI cable.
