Get Mail app to open links in Desktop IE

Is there a way to do this? by default it opens metro IE. Thanks in advance.

I believe the only way right now is open in Modern UI then swipe up from bottom > select the wrench > View on the Desktop.

Go to IE on the desktop, go into options, programs tab, and where it says "Choose how you open links", select "Always in Internet Explorer on the desktop"

My problem is that I am unable to open IE Modern UI even when I start IE from the Metro start page.

Do you have a different browser (such as Chrome) installed and set to default? IE must be the default browser for metro IE to work. I found this out the hard way.... But I have gotten used to it
