when both a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse are connected at the same time, after using mouse a lot or keyboard idle, first keystroke from keyboard is a double character.
for example enter: abc comes out aabc. if mouse turned off, keyboard works perfectly. Logitech mx5000 keyboard and tried with either Logitech mouse or Microsoft surface mouse. surface live support was no help.

Are you on 2.4GHz Wireless as well? If so it is most likely contention between WiFi and Bluetooth. Switching to 5GHz should improve things....

tthanks for the reply - as you can see by the 2 't's at the beginning of the sentence changing to 5ghz did not resolve the situation.
any other help would be appreciated.

Not sure, from sfc /scannnow from an elevated CMD Prompt to see if it is a Windows issue or try another keyboard...
