Solved Cursor speed adjustment not working?

Very excited to get my i7 and have been putting it through its paces for the last 24 hours but I think I've either got a problem or I just missed something. Any help?

My track pad is working fine but for some reason I can't get the cursor speed to adjust. I have searched through the forums here for a couple keywords but nothing has come up so I hope this isn't a repeat. I have tried to adjust the tracking speed in the trackpad settings but it doesn't change anything. Right now it seems to be stuck on 1 to 1 movement. That's about 4 swipes all the way across the pad just to get the cursor across the screen. Has anyone bumped into this? Solution?

Thanks guys. I have really enjoyed this forum.

Fixed my own problem but it was NOT intuitive. For anyone else having the problem: The slider in the settings menu isn't working. You have to go to the very bottom of the mouse and trackpad settings and then go to advanced mouse settings. The pointer speed settings in here, though it says it's for mice, seems to do the trick.
