frozen screen surface pro3

My new surface pro3 I7 512 GB has just frozen. I could not shut down or restart. Help needed urgently.

First try holding the power button for 30 seconds. Then try to turn it on.

Same happend to me on tuesday. I was only using onenote2013 for notetaking. The only thing that worked was powerbutton+volumedown at the same time for.. 5sek?

Thanks Greyfox 7 & fifi. It worked by holding the on switch for 30secs.

I have same issue, and i found out is the SD Card spoil. After i remove the SD Card no more frozen screen. But i don't know why it will affect the screen frozen...

Welcome to the forum

You say the screen was frozen but the system was probably busy looking at the SD card. What have you stored on the SD card? If it happens again you may want to check the card with a surface test at the minimum.
