I'm from Albuquerque, New Mexico I've used computers for a great part of my life. I received this surface tablet RT as a gift from my son. Getting used to this becoming my mainstream unit. Didn't think that would happen.

Congrats and welcome. Surface RT is probably a good choice as a main device for the majority of people. Windows 8/RT takes a little getting use to but it so far has been worth it. I hope you find the same in your use.

As an owner of a WP7 and now a WP8, the Surface RT is a snap. It's just like a Windows Phone 8 only bigger!!!
