Importing i-cal or vcal type links into Mail

Because of some (hopefully temporary) issues with out hospital's networking security, I am unable to sync my outlook calendar from work to my Surface Pro. They don't play well with windows 8 or 8.1 (for the moment, they claim this will be resolved with security updates in a few months). Ironically, it can sync nicely with The Mail app. There is a web site which holds our on call schedule called Amion ("Am I on"). This can export a "link" to an I-Cal or other types which I can use to import into my outlook calendar at work. I can't, however, figure out how to import into Mail. In outlook I would tell outlook I wanted to link with an internet calendar and put in the URL which Amion gives me. The options here are very limited. Any ideas? Or This can't be done?
Thanks ahead of time.
