Wasn't having any bugs to fix, but seems to work fine. Nice to have a driver with a 1/5/2015 date.

Unzip the downloaded files to a folder.
On driver properties click Update Driver...
Browse my computer for driver software
Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
Then click Have Disk...
Then browse to the folder you unzipped to files to and choose the folder there called Graphics.

Has anyone tried this in Win10?
I'm kind of reluctant to change anything there for fear it could affect future updates.

Guys if you run these remember to turn off automatic updates. Windows will try to replace these with their Surface Pro 3 version. When the "Hardware Update" arrives, just hide it.

Good tip.

By the way, there's a 90MB Surface Pro 3 firmware update available in Windows Update today. After installing it, I reverted the graphics driver back to this 4080 version by doing the following:
  1. Open Device Manger
  2. "Update Driver Software..." on display adapter
  3. Browse my computer for driver software
  4. Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
  5. Select the newest driver version (mine shows 3496, 4029, and 4080)
This will revert you back to the Intel reference driver you manually installed. The graphics driver in today's firmware update is version 4029 with a date of 11/18/2014, which is a bit older than the 1/5/2015 4080 driver.
