Sound gone after Anniversary Update

Hi,

the sound is gone after the Anniversary Update. Microsoft has agreed to give me a replacement, but they are saying "the replacement device will be LIKE NEW and not new."

I don't like this one bit and refuse to accept a second hand refurbished product.

If someone from MS is reading this, I want them to respond to this.

First of all: someone from Microsoft will not be reading this.

If the sound is gone after the AU, I would not look for a new device. I would look for software updates.

You will never notice a device is refurbished.

Have you tried troubleshooting the problem? Divide the problem in half. Does it work with sound plugged directly into the Surface instead of the docking station. My sound was not affected after I installed the Anniversary update. Since you know it's not a hardware problem, I'm not sure it is wise to go for a replacement of you Surface, new or rebuilt.
