Star in front stylus tip on screen

I've been using the surface pro 3 to draw. Sometimes I need to do some fine detailing but have an issue: there's a star (aka the crosshair) on the screen right below the tip of the stylus. This is very annoying as I can't see what I'm drawing clearly. How do I get rid of it?
