surface 3 thinks I am touching screen everywhere

I saw a person post this on Facebook. Then after I did the system firmware update now I cannot use my Surface. I tried to shutdown and reboot still thinks I am touching screen.
Anyone else have this issue?

The oil or residue from my hands was left on screen. I literally wiped off screen and it fixed it. Weird.

you wanna hear a funny thing? I spilled a TINY DROP of pepsi on my S2 screen and then wiped it off, but the touch screen still went wonky! it wouldn't allow me to slide up the lock screen! it would slide up a millimeter and then freeze then a little more and freeze! even more crazy? I am using a screen protector! lol weird huh?

That's exactly what mine was doing. It was also showing 2 spots in the lower left like I kept touching them. Must be set too high for sensitivity.

I had a lot of false "touches" when I had the charger connected. I disconnected the charger and it got much better.

I am going to send mine back to Microsoft. I will go buy another one from Best Buy.
