Surface Pro 4 does not power up

My wife has a Surface Pro 4, and has EXACTLY the same problem. The device does not power up anymore, regardless of what i do with reset button combinations and charging the laptop. How to fix ... I'll try this refrigerator trick, but i don't trust it ...
