Touchscreen unresponsive

Since yesterday my touchscreen is unresponsive. Anyone else notice this?

After playing around with it some more I see that it's not the whole screen - some parts are unresponsive, some are not

What changed yesterday? Typically this is caused by calibrating or more often the Touch Driver Crashed and a reboot will fix it....

Other things that can prevent the touch screen are USB Video Drivers, Virtual KVMs, etc.

Strange thing is that it happens after restart and after a while the responsiveness comes back. I did a restore yesterday, in order to fix this and after problem persisted (but goes away after some time)

It could be a hardware failure then...
