Maybe it doesn't apply to you, I'm just kinda ignoring it. I can always just revert to 8.1 and upgrade like that if needs be.

Absolutely agree with you. The key is "in place upgrade" that is what I did. Otherwise you could be in trouble. But I thought it is already well understood at this point of time.

Just rebooted after installing the new update. The first thing I notice is that the fan has calmed down.

I used the "unauthorized" .iso to reinstall and winver says it is licensed and activated. I did do it inside a TP that was licensed already, though.

Just installed today's update, and it fixed the DHCP issue I was having with my Netgear wifi adapter on my desktop. Hopefully it fixed the same issue some folks were having on their SP3's.

Yes. No problems with wifi so far with todays' security update.
