Word crashes when using pen

Anyone experence this? When using pen input in Word, the Surface Pro gets very slow, non responsive and then crashes. Experienced this before with my SP3/4/128, one of the reasons for trading up to a SP4/8/256. Just had one Windows file open and Outlook, btw.

Has no one experienced the above? At this moment, I also have this problem using Word without the pen - fan running all the time, Word taking up almost 65% of processor. What is happening?

Office 2013 or 2016 or O365? Have you applied all of the updates? Are you using Office Insider Builds? What are you using for A/V?

Hi jnjroach - thanks for your help. There were a number of Office (2013, btw) updates and that helped. I will check when using a pen and will let you know when this does not work. For now: thanks!

I tried this link and it helped me. Used pen in Word and no more overheating!
